Genevieve M. Lay was born in Australia but spent much of her childhood exploring the streets and stories of China. From an early age, she felt the pull of storytelling. It was in the quiet of her grandmother’s attic, with a worn-out laptop, that she began crafting her debut novel, Obsidian Rising. Since then, she has never stopped writing.
